Things couldn’t have been better when Ryan entered Reedley as a high school junior. He gained friends immediately with his sharp wit and trademark humor. Though a newcomer from Korea, he made his way straight to the top by being Class President. In less than a year, he was elected as School Council President. Modesty aside, he said that all these achievements became possible because of his teachers, Ms. Thea Sordan, Ms. Dinah Wamilda and Ms. Meck Rolle, who were all very supportive of Ryan and his goals.

Literature. Creativity. Serendipity. All Martin knew was that he loved to write. He just needed a little push. And all it took was Reedley International School. It was here in Reedley that Ms. Meg Leyesa, a former Life Coach, exerted all efforts to help him find his niche. They would always talk seriously about possible college degrees that would enable him to unleash his potentials. It was at Reedley that meaningful bonding sessions with Mr. Joseph Moragas, his Math teacher, led to very beautiful friendships with the rest of the class. And it was also at Reedley that the generous and warm...

No one would have known that Aldrich Tan, the boy who dressed up as Lilo for Book Character Day would end up a Designer. Now on his final year as an Interactive Arts & Technology major at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, BC, Canada, Aldrich remembers his Reedley days with fondness, “I would probably have ended up in business if I had stayed in the Philippines and I discovered my love of graphic design through my studies here in Canada. However, being part of Reedley and spending my entire high school with Reesians did help shape significant parts of my personality. I believe it...

It was not a surprise when Benedict entered Lim Kong Wing University in Jakarta under the Bachelor of Arts Honors Program in Animation. As early as anyone can remember, he was walking around campus with a sketch book in hand showing people drawings of Ben-ben – an animated dog with very human characteristics – Benedicts animated self—complete with the glasses.
“Before Reedley, I was in a school where I was practically raised to think that good jobs are either business, medical, or law degrees. In Reedley, my perspective began to change, and I attended workshop after workshop to...

The old cliché silent waters run deep seem to have found their personification with Regina Jardiolin for when she was in Reedley, she was exactly that – quiet. She uses the word “restricted” to describe herself back then but she has since learned to bask in the freedom her chosen career allows her.
Very early on, however, Ina showed a propensity for the drawing and painting, and experimented in her own comic book which she produced on ordinary bond paper, folded in-half, and stapled at the center. Very few were privy to her humble beginnings as an artist but that was how she started,...

The UAAP Basketball Crown may have been won, but Reesians still never fail to make waves on both sides of rivals green and blue.
Last October 4, 2008, Reedley International School Class Valedictorian of Batch 2005 Katherine Cua, graduated Magna Cum Laude in BS Information Communication Technology Management at the De La Salle University. Looking back, her four years of high school in Reedley have instilled in her the values of time management, communication skills and hardwork in a challenging environment.
Katherine Cua (right), as guest speaker at the recent Career Options Week for Reedley...

The start couldn’t have been better when Ryan entered Junior year at Reedley. It was an easy comfort zone to have. He gained immediate friendships with his wits and humor. Though a newcomer from Korea, he made his way straight to being Class President. In less than a year, he rose to being the President of the Student Council. Modestly he said that all these opportunities were conveniently received because Ms. Sordan, Ms. Wamilda and Ms. Rolle were all very supportive of his progression. Fidgety for some people to take risks, but at Reedley, it is confidence that comes with every...

Mara HAD a “Mara Clara tale”. Mara, like Mara, was insecure and passive. Who were the Clara’s? Many. There were no rescuers, no big brothers or sisters. So the elementary years were over. Mara found a fresh start at Reedley. It was a complete turnaround. Reedley is “an amazing school!”, blurted Mara. Boosting confidence is Reedley’s expertise. At first, she refused to hold an officer position because it was a totally new thing for her. Never was she in power before! But hey, why not give it a try? An auditor in first year and now a Vice President! She would host...

The Reesian spirit is with Janeena. Reedley is her family. “Family”, the very first core value of Reedley has made Janeena utter “…being here feels right”. There is a recognized authority and everyone is equally treated according to his or her worth. Janeena is currently a member of The Club (Reedley’s Dramatics Club) and a part of the RTV Program. Lights, glamour and stage. They all go together. But for the cheerful and vibrant Janeena, perfection was achieved when she combined them with academic honors. She is a consistent merit awardee at Reedley. Beauty and brains! ...

Currently in 3rd Year Upper School, Tippy confesses Reedley has drawn out the finest in her. She would not have been given a chance to polish her skills and shine, if she were in a different school. The ongoing RTV Program is one of the venues that allow her to hone her skills in singing, acting and dancing. Not just that, for this year, she hosted the sophomore and junior batch nights and many other school events… “Self-actualization”, a Reedley core value that keeps helping Tippy utilize her talents fully, creatively and most importantly, joyfully. Ms. Thea Sordan has always...
