Reedley Student to join Newswatch Main News Program
Reedley International School Upper School student Janeena Chan started hosting at age 11 for KIDS TV, an educational telemagazine show for the whole family. For this, she was awarded by the PMPC Star Awards for Television as one of the Best Children Show Hosts. KidsTV was aired for 2 years over ABC 5 and then over RPN 9.

For almost 2 years now, Janeena has been with the Newswatch Junior
Edition also aired over RPN 9 every Saturday from 8am to 8:30 AM.
As a Junior Reporter, they do their own segments, from choosing a topic,
scriptwriting, directing, camera works and editing.

It is now official that she will be part of the main edition news team as
the teen reporter/ host for the youth segment that will appear 3x a week.
She will be featuring topics for the youth, trends, latest events and of
general interest. She will be writing her own scripts and directing her
own segment.
